# Tigris GUI client for Mac, iPhone, and Web

> A Tigris object storage GUI for buckets made in the Tigris console or with fly storage create. Tigris pricing, the t3.storage.dev endpoint, and error fixes.

Canonical: https://www.bucketmate.app/s3-client/tigris

Tigris is globally distributed, S3-compatible object storage with no egress fees. BucketMate connects with a Tigris access key so your buckets sit next to AWS S3, R2, and Hetzner.

Best for: Fly.io apps and global workloads that want zero egress fees

## Tigris console vs BucketMate

| Task | Console | BucketMate |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Other clouds | Tigris buckets only | Tigris next to S3, R2, and Hetzner |
| Fly.io buckets | Sign in to the console with Fly.io | Paste the keys from fly storage create once |
| On the go | Browser only | Native iPhone and iPad app with Files integration |
| Share a private file | Presigned links made with the CLI or an SDK | Copy a presigned link with the expiry you choose |
| Storage tiers | Default tier set per bucket | See and change the tier of any file |

## Made for Tigris

- **Zero egress**: Downloads and previews in BucketMate don't add egress charges on Tigris.
- **Storage tiers**: See and change Standard, Infrequent Access, and Archive tiers per file. Minimum durations still apply.
- **Fly.io friendly**: Buckets made with fly storage create work with the same keys Fly sets as app secrets.

## Common errors

- `AccessDenied`: The access key has no role on the bucket. Fix: In Access Keys, give the key Editor or ReadOnly access to the bucket.
- `InvalidAccessKeyId`: The key was deleted, or the secret was pasted as the access key. Fix: Access keys start with tid_ and secrets with tsec_.
- `SignatureDoesNotMatch`: Wrong secret, or a region other than auto. Fix: Set the region to auto and re-copy the secret.

## Endpoint

Use t3.storage.dev. The older fly.storage.tigris.dev endpoint still works.

- auto: https://t3.storage.dev
- auto (legacy): https://fly.storage.tigris.dev

## Connect in BucketMate

A Tigris access key (tid_) and secret (tsec_).

1. Create an access key in the Tigris console under Access Keys, or run fly storage create on Fly.io.
2. In BucketMate, choose Add connection and select Tigris.
3. Paste the keys. The endpoint and region auto are filled in, then Test Connection.

On iPhone, Tigris has its own option in the Provider picker with the endpoint prefilled.

## S3 compatibility notes

- **Region is auto**: Tigris places data globally, so the region is always auto.
- **Long-lived keys only**: STS and temporary credentials aren't supported.
- **Tier minimums**: Infrequent Access has a 30 day minimum and Archive 90 days.

### Is there a Tigris GUI for Mac?

### Does BucketMate send my Tigris keys to a server?
