## Common errors

- `AuthorizationHeaderMalformed`: The endpoint or region doesn't match the bucket. Fix: Use the bucket's regional URL and the same region.
- `PermanentRedirect`: The bucket lives in another region. Fix: Switch to s3.<bucket-region>.wasabisys.com.
- `SignatureDoesNotMatch`: Wrong secret, or a link signed for another region's host. Fix: Re-copy the secret and use the bucket's regional endpoint.
- `Timed deleted storage`: Files deleted before 90 days are still billed for 90 days. Fix: Delete old versions on a schedule, not right after upload.

## Connect in BucketMate

A Wasabi access key and secret key.

1. Create an access key in the Wasabi console.
2. In BucketMate, choose Add connection and select Wasabi.
3. Enter the regional endpoint, keys, and matching region, then Test Connection.

On iPhone, pick Custom S3-compatible and set a custom region such as us-central-1.

## S3 compatibility notes

- **No KMS encryption**: Wasabi has no SSE-KMS or bucket encryption API.
- **No storage classes**: One flat class, so there's nothing to restore.
- **Bucket-scoped keys**: Turn off Load all buckets and type the bucket name.
