# Terms of Service

## 1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you use BucketMate, including the macOS app, the iOS app, the Web app at https://web.bucketmate.app, and the website at https://www.bucketmate.app (together, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

The iOS app is also subject to Apple's App Store terms. If those conflict with these Terms for an App Store purchase, Apple's terms control for that purchase.

## 2. License Terms

BucketMate is sold as a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

- **macOS license:** One license key unlocks the macOS app with lifetime updates on up to 2 Macs.
- **Web license:** One license key unlocks the Web app with lifetime updates on up to 2 browser activations.
- **iOS app:** You can unlock Pro on iOS by purchasing on the Apple App Store, or by buying a license that includes iOS on the website and signing in to the iOS app with the same purchase email. A macOS-only or Web-only license does not include iOS. An App Store-only iOS purchase does not include macOS or Web.
- **Universal license:** One license key, with lifetime updates on up to 5 devices in total across macOS, iOS, and Web. Activates the macOS app and Web version with your license key, and unlocks Pro on iOS by signing in with your purchase email.

The free plan is limited (including one connection, one workspace, and no multiple-file operations). Pro features unlock with a valid license or iOS purchase.

Licenses are for your personal or internal business use. You may not share, resell, or publicly distribute license keys.

## 3. Accounts

Some Web, iOS, and macOS App Store features require signing in with an email address. Signing in with the email used for a website license that includes that platform activates Pro. You are responsible for the email you use and for keeping access to it. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe a license or account is being abused.

## 4. Refunds

macOS, Web, and Universal purchases made through Polar have a 7-day money-back guarantee. Email support@bucketmate.app. iOS App Store purchases follow Apple's refund policy.

## 5. Your storage and credentials

You supply your own S3-compatible credentials and remain responsible for your buckets, files, and provider bills. BucketMate is not a storage host. Misuse of the Services (including unauthorized access to others' data) is prohibited.

## 6. Disclaimer

The Services are provided on an "as is" basis. BucketMate makes no warranties, expressed or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

BucketMate does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that materials on the website are complete or current.

## 7. Limitations

In no event shall BucketMate or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including loss of data or profit, or business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the Services, even if BucketMate has been notified of the possibility of such damage. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

## 8. Links

BucketMate is not responsible for third-party sites, storage providers, Polar, Stripe, Apple, RevenueCat, or other linked services. Use of those services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

## 9. Modifications

BucketMate may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Continued use of the Services means you accept the current Terms.
