About BucketMate
Mission
BucketMate was built to solve a clear problem: managing cloud object storage should be fast, reliable, and private. Cloud provider web consoles often suffer from slow navigation, heavy memory consumption, and disjointed interfaces across different vendors. BucketMate provides a native, desktop-first experience for everyday file and bucket operations.
Local-First Security Architecture
Privacy and credential safety are foundational to BucketMate. The application follows strict principles:
- Zero Proxy Servers: S3 credentials and file contents are never transmitted to, inspected by, or stored on BucketMate servers.
- Direct API Execution: All S3 requests are signed locally on your machine and sent directly to your storage provider endpoints (AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, MinIO, Backblaze B2, DigitalOcean Spaces, Supabase Storage).
- Secure Keychain Storage: Sensitive access keys, secret tokens, and session credentials are encrypted in Apple Keychain on macOS and iOS, or locally in browser profiles with passkey encryption on the Web app.
Platforms & Supported Providers
BucketMate is available across platforms to fit developer workflows:
- macOS: Native Swift application optimized for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 13 or later.
- iOS: Native iPhone and iPad application with Face ID security and Files app integration.
- Web: Zero-install browser app for quick access on any desktop operating system.
- Supported Providers: Amazon Web Services (AWS S3), Cloudflare R2, MinIO, Backblaze B2, DigitalOcean Spaces, Supabase Storage, and any generic S3-compatible endpoint.
Fair, Perpetual Licensing
BucketMate offers one-time purchase perpetual licenses instead of recurring subscriptions. Purchases include free lifetime updates for the licensed major version, accompanied by a 7-day money-back guarantee. A functional free plan is available for personal use with no expiration.
